Centro cultural Huaquillas.

Abstract

This architectural proposal is located in the Huaquillas canton, province of "El Oro" Ecuador. This subject of final degree work is raised to propose the design of a cultural center with the vision of strengthening the link of the Jambelí culture through the publication, communication and transmission of the artistic-cultural teaching of this community through spaces of interaction, flexible spaces for the exhibition of materials and relevant representative works where they promote integration towards society and associate the cultural project with an emblematic architectural profile of the urban environment.The project is conceived under the preservation of the Jambelí Cultural identity, for which emblematic prototypes are retaken traditional of the Province of El Oro that shows the importance of the social interrelation between spaces. The use of circular and linear motifs is implemented as a symbol of unity and a representation of its context, these symbolic patterns in the form of a tribal where they were represented both in their ceramics and textiles. From this, a reinterpretation of identity is intended by physically shaping them that allows the user a link with their origin and culture. Implementation of walkable green terraces to generate interaction points where contemplation, reflection and meditation activities are promoted. The project to be executed has a metallic self-supporting structure in the shape of a tribal, reinforced concrete hollow core slabs, metallic profiles such as horizontal structures and wood finishes.
