Manejo de residuos en la gestión de la responsabilidad social del Hospital del Niño Francisco Icaza Bustamante.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to propose the design of a Social Responsibility model for waste management in the context of Hospital del Niño Francisco Icaza Bustamante, this purpose is derived from an inadequate management of these substances, which, in addition to endangering the lives of staff and patients within the institution can have repercussions on the environment and, therefore, on citizens. For this reason, for a better understanding of this process, through a theoretical examination, the dimensions that are contemplated are identified and intervened in its execution, subsequently, the methodology to be used is defined, which is based on a descriptive scope with a mixed approach ( qualitative and quantitative), which, with the use of tools such as surveys and interviews, have made it possible to define the current structure of the medical center. The results obtained show a low degree of knowledge on the part of the nurses, therefore, the proposal structures systematized strategies that will allow them to perceive how to execute the stages of storage and elimination of hospital waste, concluding that the established measures will serve as support for both internal and external user health care, as well as the environment.
