Respuestas a la feminidad : construcción del ser mujer a partir de la obra de Frida Kahlo y Remedios Varo.

Abstract

Artists in their performances have transgressed and reformulated what it means to be a woman within the time. Therefore, the role of society within the expression of art is taken into account, in this case, taking as a reference in the ideal female figures showing different ways of what is conceived as being a woman; both from the physical aesthetics and the social role in which the artists developed. This work is based on the hypothesis which sustains in: art is taken as a driver of responses from female logic to lack, from the competing works of Frida Kahlo and Remedios Varo that opens a space to femininity in an era close to the impact of the liberation of art. Several of this works were selected in this investigation to be analyzed from psychoanalytic theory in relation to the response to femininity, that they managed to build throughout their artistic career. By highlighting the guidance of the theory collected in this research would follow, female superjume must be related to the real, which can be lived and exemplified in partner relationships, or in the same way, it can be related to a enjoyment of havoc, a boundary that can turn out to be invasive. However, art can border that edge from the imaginary and work it from sublimation.
