Protocolo del manejo clínico del diente avulsionado. Revisión Sistemática.

Abstract

Introduction: Dental avulsion is a traumatic injury, caused by the complete displacement of the tooth from its socket. Objective: The objective of this study was to describe through the literature the clinical management of an avulsed tooth, since it is one of the most complicated traumatic injuries. Materials and methods: This work is a qualitative, no-experimental, descriptive systematic review. 200 articles were collected on the clinical management of avulsed tooth. Only 38 articles met the inclusion criterion proposed for this work. Results: The articles were divided into 5 folders by variables, each article was analyzed and the results of the variables were compiled in a data table, to later make a qualitative analysis with descriptive statistics of each one of them. In addition to the information collected from the 38 articles, the four guidelines published by the IADT for the clinical management of avulsed teeth in 2001, 2007, 2012 and 2020 were also analyzed, in these works the changes that have occurred with the passage of time in relation to the clinical treatment of the avulsed tooth. Conclusion: The operator knowledge of the clinical management of an avulsed tooth is of utmost importance, since it is a lesion that must be treated immediately, in order to preserve the tooth.
