Abstract

Since ancient times the healing power of plants has been recognized worldwide, not only in human medicine where its study originated by extracting and distilling plants, flowers and stems. From these investigations emerged not only the first drugs but also the main anesthetics, which are the product of common plants and some other exotic plants. This research will be carried out in a veterinary clinic in the city over two months. The diagnosis will be made through physical examination and in turn with a skin scraping to later be examined under the microscope and discover the possible presence of bacteria, parasites, fungi or yeast. If these causative agents are positive, these cases will be chosen as study material since the research time is relatively short and results are needed promptly; This is why the cases of dermatitis caused by a food allergy or endocrine problems are difficult to choose for the study. Once the type of dermatitis to be treated has been established, the chosen treatments will begin. In turn, it will seek to relate the response of the treatment according to the variables: sex, age and type of dermatitis (of those mentioned above) that is being treated, together with evaluating the response of the oil cocktail added to the ozone baths that they would be testing to get the results. With the results obtained with this research project, the aim is to verify the results in the treatment of dermatitis through the application of essential oils. In addition; Observe the pros and cons of this alternative therapy in order to implement it in the day-to-day veterinary clinic.
