Abstract

This document shows the development of the architectural project for the Artisan Market located in the Guayaquil canton, Carbo Concepción parish. The land provided is located on a regular terrain, without slope, close to a body of water: the Guayas River. In addition, the study sector has little vegetation, and its buildings are mostly high. The project is executed using the concept of interlaced unity, owned by one of the most famous crafts in the country, which is the toquilla straw hat, originally from the Ecuadorian coast. Therefore, the project begins with the creation of internal courtyards, the purpose of which is to strengthen and rehabilitate the public space, to generate flexible areas that offer different sensations: external, internal and intermediate. The main commercial activities aimed at the artisanal field are raised on the ground and upper floors of the project, in order to generate interactive and cultural learning points mainly in the country, it is for them that it is proposed to propose an integrating volume of various activities applied to the different handcrafted designs and aesthetic beauty, empowering their nationalism and indigenous memory, including presentation and marketing.
