Abstract

The Artisan Market project will be developed in the center of the city of Guayaquil, in the current premises of the Universidad Politécnica (Campus Las Peñas) next to the Aerovía Station. It aims to be a space that generates urban identity, integration, and the use of material culture, through several strategies defined based on the previous analysis, among which it was proposed to develop a commercial environment projecting open spaces, generate integrating spaces, through the implementation of interior gardens and public space for the development of passive activities. The building is proposed from a main entrance core, with an overlapping of levels that allow visualizing the activities that take place inside and at the same time create a link with the exterior through the permeability of its facades.
