Influencia de las Tics en la productividad de las empresas del sector manufacturero de Manabí.

Abstract

Currently companies are in constant evolution due to the constant growth and technological change that the world is experiencing. The purpose of this research work is to analyze the influence of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on the productivity of manufacturing companies in the Manabí Sector. In the theoretical framework, definitions of the independent variable Tics measured by Information Systems, Training and Research and Development and the dependent variable productivity are addressed in order to strengthen the research work. The methodology used is descriptive of a non-experimental correctional type and a cross-sectional quantitative approach, it will be executed through secondary information obtained from the database of the 2018 Business Survey carried out by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses, thus allowing to know the relationship that exists among the proposed variables. As a result, it is established that there is (a) positive and significant relationship between Information Systems and productivity, (b) relationship without sufficient statistical evidence to prove the significance between the variable Training and productivity, and (c) the manufacturing companies of the sector of Manabí does not invest in Research and Development.
