Análisis de acuerdo multipartes con la Unión Europea a través del modelo gravitacional para el Ecuador 2006 - 2019.

Abstract

The main objective of this work is to determine if the signing of Ecuador's multiparty agreement with the European Union allowed an increase in the commercial flow between both actors in the year 2006 - 2019. Considering a sample of 48 countries with quarterly data, we will use a panel data model with its effects from gravitational model theories to obtain efficient and accurate estimates. The results will show the importance of the economic, commercial and geographical factors given the independent variables such as the GDP of Ecuador and the GDP of the other countries, the distance, the surface, the language and the trade agreements, in the trade flows with Ecuador. The results indicate what is the correlation that exists between the variables, if it is more subject to the pooled effects model, fixed effects or random effects. For this reason we use Rstudio to have a broader analysis about our chosen variables.
