Análisis de valor de la exportadora de camarón Santa Priscila : una propuesta de eficiencia acumuladora empresarial.

Abstract

At the end of the 1960's, without much knowledge or technology, Ecuador began the cultivation of what today has become their second most exported product to the entire world after oil: shrimp. The shrimp industry has had great success since its beginnings due to the high demand for this product, both in the domestic and international markets. The country's geographic location and climatic conditions have been key factors for the growth of this sector, which quickly became an important source of income for the Ecuadorian economy generating countless jobs over time. Thus, over the years, companies dedicated to the production and export of this good have been established, which have contributed significantly to the development of this economic sector. One of these companies is Industrial Pesquera Santa Priscila, which has played a key role in the expansion of the industry since it entered the market in 1976; it is currently the most recognized shrimp exporter in the country and abroad. Therefore, in this essay we will analyze the development of the shrimp sector in recent years and how Santa Priscila's participation has influenced it.
