Análisis correlacional entre la edad del destete, su procedencia y el comportamiento trófico del perro.

Abstract

The lack of knowledge from the owners now of getting a pet without knowing the past of the animal and the exact age that it was separate from his mother, brings with it a considerable amounts of troubles as gastrointestinal diseases and trophic behavior. It is for this reason that the main objective of this investigation is to identify if there is a relation between the age of weaning and the origin of the dog with the appearance of the diseases. This investigation was made with a poll of 11 questions made to 100 pet owners that have any kind of animals that are between 1-8 months that attend to the clinic just for medical consultation. First, it was analyzed by which means the dogs were obtained, 39 % being acquired through virtual means, 14 % adoption centers and 11 % own; Of these 100 dogs, 64 % were weaned at an early age, that is, from the fifth and sixth weed of birth. It was identified that when this early weaning occurs, behavioral problems occur when eating and symptoms related to gastrointestinal diseases. Some of these problems presented at the time of eating were eating fast or slowly, in terms of symptoms they were lack of appetite, constipation, vomiting, diarrhea. The data gain shows that the age of weaning has a relation with the digestive diseases because they don’t get enough nutrients to avoid any kind of diseases, at the same time they gained an anormal behavior while they are growing.
