Terminal fluvial integral en el Barrio del Astillero.

Abstract

The work consist of the development and design of the architectural project for the new river terminal, located in the Barrio del Astillero, in the city of Guayaquil. The project seeks to bring back and encourage a means of transport currently forgotten in the port city of Guayaquil, river transport. For this, the project proposes to include as far as possible all the natural elements that surround it. The Guayas River, Santay Island in front of the land and the surrounding heritage buildings. The River terminal is made up of five volumes, divided into 2 groups according to the activity too be carried out and the program already established. These elements have an intermediate space between each one. These spaces create multipurpose squares in which cultural and recreational activities can be carried out. The project will include not only access or mobility through the river, but will promote tourism throughout various parts of the city. That is, it will have the possibility of having tours to emblematic areas of our city such as the Malecón 2000, the Historical Park, and Santay Island.
