Nivel de conocimiento de los métodos de necro identificación odontológica, de estudiantes de odontología UCSG semestre B-2021.

Abstract

Introduction: Forensic Dentistry applies the knowledge of the oral region for the resolution of legal problems, through the identification of the living subject or the necro-identification of corpses. Objective: To determine the level of knowledge of dental necro indentation methods, of UCSG dentistry students, semester B-2021. Material and Methods: Study with a qualitative-quantitative approach, of documentary bibliographic type, of retrospective muversestra; descriptive and analytical design processed and analyzed through the Google Form In a sample of 125 students of the Dentistry Career of the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil, eighth and ninth semester B-2021. Respecting the inclusion and exclusion criteria Results: Of a universe of 125 respondents, 72.80% women and 27.20% men. 80% presented high knowledge about definitions, types, methods and utilities of the necro-identification process. Conclusions: The undergraduate students of the Dentistry Career present a high knowledge about definitions, types, methods and utilities of necroidentification for use in forensic dentistry. Decide, the percentage of students understand that the correct dental record is a legal and ethical obligation on the part of the professional.
