Incidencia de la COVID-19 en las empresas medianas del sector camaronero en Guayaquil período 2020 – 2021.

Abstract

As a result of Covid-19, the year 2020 began with great social and economic consequences, which not only affected human health, but also the activities of all companies in the world, due to the closure of ports, airports and borders. The main research work aims to analyze the incidence of Covid-19 in medium-sized companies in the shrimp sector in the city of Guayaquil during the years 2020 and 2021. In the theoretical framework, descriptions of the independent variable are addressed, the pandemic environment and the dependent variable is the shrimp sector, with the aim of giving effect to this research work. The method used is deductive - exploratory with a qualitative approach, since this phenomenon has not been studied previously, for obvious reasons there is an interest in verifying its characteristics and it will be done by conducting a survey of key operational and administrative management personnel, as well as same to the shareholders of these companies. The results reflect the negative impact that Covid-19 left on the sector, such as the decrease in the price of shrimp, decrease in exports, generation of monetary losses and excessive increase in expenses.
