Propuesta de un sistema de gestión de inventario para mejorar la competitividad de la microempresa de distribuciones “LOS ANDES” ubicado en el cantón Tena.

Abstract

The purpose of this study work is to make a proposal for an inventory management system to improve the competitiveness of the distribution microenterprise "LOS ANDES" located in the canton of Tena, domiciled in the city of Tena. The sale of its products is at the local level, the microenterprise is having some problems in inventory management, which is causing both its clients and workers to feel dissatisfied, due to the losses in stock that have been caused. The purpose of this work is to change the handling that the microenterprise has had with the inventory, with the purpose of identifying the existing problems and thus proposing an improved inventory management system, which allows it to satisfy the needs of the clients. However, for the planning, execution and completion of this project, the facilities of the microenterprise were visited, which is why the following data collection techniques were used for the study: interviews and direct observation. Through this research, it allowed us to identify the main problems, causes and consequences of inventory management. The proposal focuses on providing a tool for the correct identification of each product, reducing shortages, expired products and leftovers. The proposal of an ABC classification system, inventory policy and maximum and minimum method models was raised, with the implementation of the proposal it will help the microenterprise to continue growing, serving and attracting new clients for its development.
