Abstract

This research reviews the life situation, social and economic condition that migrant women live in the city of Guayaquil, in terms of the strategies that are developed to obtain economic income for subsistence. This work is developed from the experience that migrant women have had since they arrived in the country, where aspects such as factors of incidence in the socioeconomic situation can be evidenced and what are the difficulties that have been generated from this so that develop a life with conditions of well-being and quality, fulfilling their rights and satisfying personal and family needs. The study is developed from an ecosystem and gender approach to understand how their status as women and migrants make their development and economic inclusion in the country even more difficult, better understanding the scenarios that are reported from their experience, for this The research has been carried out from a mixed approach that allows obtaining objective and quantifiable data of this reality, but that is accompanied by the discourse of these women, which will allow giving greater meaning and meaning to the results obtained. In this way, it is evident that the overload of roles experienced by migrant women has been one of the greatest difficulties for them to function in work spaces, this has in turn generated a greater social risk by not accessing social benefits and vital rights such as access to health and good nutrition.
