Abstract

In the following research work, a study will be carry out on the importance of the Port of Guayaquil and its impact on the country's supply chain. In order to know what has been the participation of this port in the import and export activity of Ecuador, in relation to the other commercial ports: Port of Manta, Port of Esmeraldas and Port of Bolivar. In order to achieve this study, an exhaustive review of the history of the port, its progress and activities from its beginnings to the present was carried out. At the same time, a review of the current regulations was carried out in order to analyze and explain each of the chapters of these regulations. It should be noted that this work is carried out with the purpose of analyzing the port activity of the last five years, visualizing and justifying why the Port of Guayaquil is one of the most important in the country.
