Abstract

The objective of this degree work is to create a digital database using geographic information systems after the collection of information from a field work in which relevant information about the buildings was collected, this will allow us to know and identify their different structural features. the buildings that are in the sectors to be intervened in the city of Guayaquil, a classification will be made according to their structural typologies and registering the vulnerability that they present before seismic events through the relationship with the fragility curves and there are proposals of authors under the influence of foreign regulations, a relationship that allows us to understand how vulnerable or how exposed our buildings may be, thinking of future solutions both in the short and long term that allow mitigating this problem for a Guayaquil with safer buildings and durable.
