Análisis del terrorismo y las actuaciones en contra de este en el Ecuador.

Abstract

The present investigation, takes a look at the history of terrorism, since, throughout time, it showed us many violent events of great importance, in which extremist groups that were against governments were involved, one of the most outstanding examples were the acts that took place during the French Revolution. Thanks to this, certain deals were granted which were directed to the protection and fight against these terrorist acts. Likewise, Ecuador have been historical events which have shown that in the country, there have been cases of terrorism, one of the historical examples of terrorist acts was in 1983, led by the revolutionary group "Alfaro Vive Carajo". Another outstanding example was the terrorist attack against the judicial police facilities in the San Lorenzo canton, in the province of Esmeraldas. Respect to the crime of terrorism, it has been defined thanks to the contributions made by doctrinal specialists in criminal law, as well as the contribution of the Royal Spanish Academy, a prestigious institution to determine technical concepts. The doctrine has also contributed in the classification of the types of terrorism that exist in the world, as its main characteristics, which can tie an action with the criminal type. In Ecuador, through the Attorney General, the institution in charge of carrying out the investigations, several facts related to this crime have been investigated, therefore, the actions of prosecutors and police will be analyzed in this work.
