Reconstrucción de heridas complejas de miembro inferior con colgajo anterolateral de muslo libre periodo julio 2020 – agosto 2021 en Hospital Luis Vernaza.

Abstract

Background: The present research aims to present the results obtained with the use of the Anterolateral free thigh flap to cover severe post-traumatic defects of complex lower limb wounds. Materials and Methods: This research has a type of observational research, retrospective - longitudinal type and has a descriptive - explanatory approach. It has a research design that refers to a case study of patients undergoing lower limb reconstruction with Anterolateral free thigh flap at the Luis Vernaza hospital period July 2020 - August 2021. Results: Of 10 patients, the sex with the highest prevalence had was the male with a representation of 90%, the age with the highest representation, it was divided between 24 to 30 years and the age of more than 45 years. Regarding complications, both in the donor and recipient areas, 70% of the patients did not present complications. The problems that occurred were determined by total necrosis of the flap and seromas, but in a very small proportion. Conclusions: The anterolateral free thigh flap turns out to be a widely used technique worldwide, not only for lower limbs but for other types of areas, valued for its minimal complications and for presenting acceptance and satisfaction by the patients operated on.
