| Résumé: | Cerebral arteriovenous malformations is a pathology characterized by anomalies between the communication of arteries and veins. There are strategies regarding the treatment of these malformations, including: microsurgical exeresis, embolization, radiosurgery and observation. The therapeutic decision is taken into account: the natural history of the disease and its risks, each case is individualized in treatment modality. The Spetzler Martin scale is applicable, reproducible, it offers us data such as size, location in eloquent brain places and drainage, whether superficial or deep. And it is used to determine the potential surgical risk of arteriovenous malformations. |
| Description: | Las malformaciones arteriovenosas cerebrales es patología que se caracterizara por anomalías entre la comunicación de arterias y venas. Existen estrategias en cuanto al tratamientos de estas malformaciones, entre ellos: exeresis microquirúrgica, embolización, radiocirugía y observación. La decisión terapéutica se toma en cuenta: la historia natural de la enfermedad y los riesgos de la misma, se individualiza cada acaso en modalidad de tratamiento. La escala de Spetzler Martin es aplicable, reproducible, nos ofrece datos como tamaño, ubicación en lugares cerebrales elocuentes y drenaje ya sea superficial o profundo. Y se utiliza para determinar el potencial riesgo quirúrgico de las malformaciones arteriovenosas. |
