Abstract

The project is a proposal for social housing where a new way of conceiving social housing in Guayaquil is presented, based on the criteria proposed by the social housing laboratory. In order to generate a decent and optimal housing for the inhabitants of Guayaquil is proposed a flexible housing, able to adapt to the needs of its inhabitants, in addition to being progressive which allows the house to grow in height accommodating more inhabitants in a lot, increasing the density of inhabitants per hectare without the need to generate large housing units. On the other hand, the environment is taken into account when choosing the materiality of the project using sustainable and ecological materials that not only reduces the impact on the environment, but also decreases the cost and time of production of homes. In total five types of housing are presented, Single-family simplex, single-family duplex, two-family duplex, triplex trifamiliar and four-storey condominiums and eight apartments each. All types of housing are implanted in a housing complex of 4.5 hectares where green areas are taken into account. Social areas and communal equipment to promote the social and collective interaction of its inhabitants.
