Composición de un tema inédito basado en los recursos armónicos, melódicos y rítmicos de la canción “Too Hot” de la banda “Kool and the Gang”.

Abstract

The following research work was carried out in order to compose an unpublished song, applying the harmonic, melodic and rhythmic resources of the song "Too Hot" by the band "Kool and the Gang" with the particularities of R&B and Soul of the 70s and 80s. This research-creation has a qualitative approach, with a descriptive scope. The data collection instruments used were: documentary analysis, score analysis and audio and video analysis. As a result of the research work, the musical resources of the band were obtained, which were applied to the unpublished theme. This work will allow to identify the sound characteristics of R&B and Soul, which were applied at the end of the 70's and beginning of the 80's.
