| Abstract: | This project analyzes the economic feasibility of a cocoa mucilage jam export plan to New York, United States. In order to generate added value in cocoa derivatives. To achieve this, a qualitative analysis was developed through interviews with the agricultural sector, revealing the benefits of mucilage as a raw material for the production of jelly. Likewise, the IFE and EFE matrices of the plan were made. In addition to this, a quantitative forecast with the main financial indicators to identify the solvency of the project. These resulted in the following findings: a feasible project to be implemented with an initial investment of $37,288.27 for a 5-year forecast, a NPV of $352,869 was obtained, an IRR of 20.1%, and an ROI of 75.8% |
| Description: | Este proyecto analiza la factibilidad económica de un plan de exportación de mermelada de mucílago de cacao hacia Nueva York, Estados Unidos. A fin de generar valor agregado en los derivados del cacao. Para lograrlo, se desarrolló un análisis cualitativo mediante entrevistas al sector agrícola, desvelando las bondades del mucílago como materia prima para la elaboración de mermelada. Asimismo, se efectuaron las matrices IFE y EFE del plan. Aunado a esto, un pronóstico cuantitativo con los principales indicadores financieros para identificar la solvencia del proyecto. Estas resultaron en los siguientes hallazgos: proyecto factible a implementarse con $37.288,27 de inversión inicial para 5 años de pronóstico, se obtuvo un VAN de $352.869, un TIR de 20.1%, y un ROI del 75.8 |
