Sistema señalético para mejorar la orientación de los visitantes de la Ruta del Bosque Protector El Cangrejal. Olón – Ecuador.

Abstract

The objective of this degree project is to design a signage system for the orientation and information of tourists in the Cangrejal Protected Forest, Olón - Ecuador. For the development of the project, a documentary and descriptive methodology with a qualitative approach was used, using the data collection technique, interviewing qualified people such as: graphic designers, experts in branding of spaces, experts in signage, experts in bamboo materials for construction. For the second stage of the titling process, the initial artwork was evaluated with the vice-president of the Olón commune for the validation and approval of the initial sketches of the pictograms, the chromatic palette, the design of the signage, the sketches of the signage manual: cover and internal layout of the manual. An evaluation form was also used to evaluate designers and graphic design students. The result was the design of the signage manual that includes a family of 30 pictograms, technical specifications of the materials to be implemented in the signage, measurements, chromatic palette, typography, inventory of the signage together with the orientation map and the photomontage of the mockups of the signage for the El Cangrejal de Olón Protected Forest.
