Valoración de la inhibición muscular artrogénica mediante electromiografía de superficie a nivel de musculo cuádriceps, en pacientes con postcirugía de rodilla, año 2022.

Abstract

Arthrogenic muscle inhibition is a process that is conducted when there is joint damage or injury, also is a defense mechanism, but in rehabilitation cases it is a barrier that prevents the patient from recovering. Objective: To know the degree of arthrogenic muscle inhibition in patients with post-surgery knee joint surgery through the assessment of muscle activation. Methodology: The scope of this study is descriptive of a cross-sectional type, with a population of one hundred patients between 18 and 40 years of age. Results: The evaluation of one hundred patients was conducted in the physical therapy center "Lcdo. Jorge Andrade", who presented post-knee joint surgery, and their level of arthrogenic muscle inhibition with respect to the rectus femoris on average is 55.6%, in the vastus lateralis 54.9% and in the vastus medialis 54.9%. with a general average level of arthrogenic muscle inhibition in these patients of 55.2%. Conclusion: Arthrogenic muscle inhibition is a process that every patient with joint damage or post-surgery goes through, and this can be represented in a percentage level degree.
