Percepciones sobre los factores y riesgos psicosociales existentes en adultos mayores durante el confinamiento por COVID-19, en el cantón Lago Agrio y Santa Cruz.

Abstract

Psychosocial risks in older adults is a problem that silently acts in many families, however, it is a topic that has been treated and investigated very little. The main objective of this research is to analyze family perceptions regarding the existence of psychosocial risks in older adults under their care in the canton of Lago Agrio and Santa Cruz during the confinement of COVID-19, in order to contribute with strategies for the well-being of the family nucleus. The methodology had a qualitative approach with a descriptive exploratory level. As techniques to collect information, the interview was applied. As a result, it was found that, of the eight families interviewed, the psychosocial risks detected were: family dynamics, condition of poverty and integrity of the self, which were put to the perception of the family circle of the elderly, showing that as relatives each of them His efforts and help were in order to take care of the well-being of his family member. Based on these results, there will be support strategies for the family nucleus, the implementation of more family activities with their due post-COVID protection, the inclusion of older adults in decisions that may affect them and protection under life insurance that older adults have. The security of attending a medical center without any fear.
