La incidencia del síndrome de burnout en el desempeño laboral del personal docente de un colegio particular en la ciudad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

In the field of education, teachers who are part of educational institutions find themselves in different circumstances where high labor demand, physical and psychological exhaustion, are determining factors that directly influence where burnout syndrome occurs. For this reason, the present investigation has as its main objective to evaluate the incidence of Burnout Syndrome in the work performance of the teaching staff of a private school in the city of Guayaquil, through statistical techniques for the development of an action plan. The research has a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational scope, the deductive method of a non-experimental and transversal type. The Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) Questionnaire was applied with the study variables to a total of 187 teachers, in the results it was possible to identify that teacher are emotionally exhausted, causing their stress to be directed at students and fellow teachers, causing Conflicts between the work team, in terms of work performance, factors such as physical exhaustion, chronic stress greatly affect the performance of teachers, having a low performance generating greater concern. Consequently, a proposal was developed that is an action plan with three strategic activities to reduce the burnout syndrome and improve the work performance of the teachers of the educational institution.
