Evaluación del efecto de diferentes dosis de un abono orgánico en el cultivo del pepino slicer (Cucumis sativus L.) tutoreado en la ciudad de Guayaquil, provincia del Guayas.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to evaluate the effect of the different doses of an organic fertilizer on the morphological parameters, yield and nutrients of the petiole sap in a cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) crop in the city of Guayaquil. The experimental design was simple random with 4 treatments and 4 repetitions per treatment (each treatment of 26 plants). The treatments applied are organic fertilizer, Treatment T1 0.5 kg / per plant, treatment T2 1 kg / per plant and treatment T3 1.5 kg / per plant. The variables evaluated throughout the experiment were height and electrical conductivity (EC) and pH of the substrate, nitrate, potassium and calcium in the petiole sap throughout the crop, later, the data were analyzed by means of an analysis of variance (ANOVA) and a test of minimal significant differences between the treatments with a confidence level of P < 0.05, with the Statgraphics Plus program (version 5.1). The results obtained were found in the pH, EC, nitrate, potassium and calcium did not present significant differences at the beginning or end of the culture in the substrate. This was due to constant irrigation that gradually washed the substrate, avoiding an increase in salinity. The T2 and T3 treatment obtained a higher height and yield per plant than the control treatment and T0, this related to the higher contribution of organic fertilizers.
