Abstract

he following thesis Project presents two architectural proposals for a Community Neighborhood Facility for the Astillero neighborhood, located in the south of the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. The main objective of the projects is to generate physical spaces that allow the correct development of the community, in different areas: social, cultural and civic, creating opportunities for growth and development for the people of the sector. These projects are planned based on 3 axes that determine the activities of the architectural program: integration, recreation and training. The architectural proposals maintain the same approach and program, but different ways of encompassing the natural conditions, the immediate context, and the hierarchization of spaces for the user, generating two perspectives of design and development of the community center for the Barrio del Astillero.
