Abstract

Living conditions actually depend on a variety of environmental factors that influence from different perspectives, among the most frequent problems that affect the living conditions of older residents include their socioeconomic situation, health, social support and others such as physical health, chronic ailments, cognitive deficit, social isolation, loneliness, economic vulnerability, access to services and resources, on the other hand, it should be noted that they live in rural areas where many of the elderly do not have attention from the State, further worsening their living conditions. The applied methodology had a mixed qualitative and quantitative approach, with a type of exploratory applied research, of a non-experimental, descriptive transectional type, the population consisted of 65 adults but 38 who actually attended the Municipal GAP of Palestine were analyzed, in addition to this 5 older adults were interviewed in order to know in depth the living conditions of the older adult, within the most relevant data from the surveys it was obtained that the educational level of the head of the house is 33.3% does not have studies, for On the other hand, the family situation is shown with 66.6% being in a harmonious home, on physical health it is determined that 76.9% are independent people and regarding mental health with 51.2% they have a good orientation of the time in which they are with From this it can be concluded that the results of this analysis are related to Erikson's psychosocial theory when influencing the search for integrity and satisfaction in old age, and with the theory of active aging when highlighting the importance of maintaining cognitive and motor skills for a healthy and active ageing.
