Caracterización de programas y servicios a mujeres adultas mayores en la ciudad de Guayaquil en el año 2023.

Abstract

The situation of older adults facing the different risk situations they face, demands an analysis to know the conditions in which they develop and propose relevant alternative solutions. (support programs social services) that allow to improve their living conditions, therefore, the present study has as main objective to analyze the support programs and services currently available in the city of Guayaquil in the period 2023. In the research project, a systemic structure that allows a better analysis of the situation of the elderly population has been proposed, especially women who suffer the violation of their rights and the strategies that are being implemented from the state to attend to these unprotected social groups. Therefore, the first section of the study contains chapter one where reference is made to the approach to the problem, delving into the situation of the target population. In addition, an approximation is made based on statistical background where data from the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean [ECLAC], the United Nations Organization [UN], the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses [INEC] and the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion [MIES] about the situation of the elderly population and the programs and services that are being implemented from the government to attend to this vulnerable sector. It also includes the investigative background to know the reality of these groups from the perspective of different authors and thus contrast it with the existing reality. Following that, general and complementary questions are posed that determine the horizon on which the research project will be directed, based on these questions, clear, measurable and achievable objectives are elaborated that will be verified at the end of the intervention.
