Abstract

Introduction: Implantology has emerged as the primary modality in global dental restoration. Public interest in dental implants is increasing, with more patients seeking information on the subject. Materials and Methods: quantitative in nature. The study began with a request via email for the This research is descriptive, cross-sectional, and validated original questionnaire from the author of the article "Knowledge and perception about dental implants among undergraduate dental students." Results: Question 1 has a high coefficient of determination with a value of 0.86, which based on percentage equates to 86% compatibility according to the instrument used for this research. Questions 7 and 9 correspond to the coefficient of determination value, which was 0.80, equating to 80% compatibility based on the survey results obtained. Conclusion: It is crucial to evaluate all aspects to ensure that the collected information is reliable and can be used to draw meaningful conclusions about the target population. This depends on various factors such as the quality of the questionnaire design, the precision of the questions asked, the representativeness of the sample, and the methodology used in data collection and analysis. A specific statistical process, the coefficient of determination, was used to measure the variability between the two variables. High r^2 values were obtained, indicating that the survey can indeed be applied in the research.
