Abstract

The present research work is based on the collection of studies carried out in America and Europe on the intervention and role of the Social Work professional in the health field, its objective is to describe and identify the processes developed by the Social Work professional. The type of process that will be carried out is documentary to collect and compare the different perceptions that professionals from America and Europe have. Carrying out the bibliographic review on the intervention processes of the social work professional in the health field, the multidisciplinary work that is carried out together with other professionals for the general care of the patient is identified. In addition to identifying that several of the documents refer to the intervention in a general way of its intervention within the health field, but the topic of catastrophic diseases is not identified, although some studies reviewed did identify heart diseases, neurological diseases and cancer where the intervention It is generated but with certain difficulties on the part of the patient.
