Revisión documental sobre la negligencia parental.

Abstract

According to (Vergara, 2023), parental neglect is considered the first form of abuse towards minors, which is why the main objective of this research is “To know the trends and findings on parental neglect of boys and girls; through the documentary review of research carried out in the last three years in Ecuador.” The theme has allowed us to know the causes and effects; so that, in turn, through scrutinized documentary studies, which explains from the perspective of social work the approaches, methodologies and factors that affect the commission of parental neglect. The qualitative approach, the methodology applied was bibliographic analysis by inclusion of authors, the selected sample corresponds to the contributions of ten Ecuadorian studies. The results allowed us to describe parental neglect as a national problem according to the studies investigated, whose conclusions determine that it affects the physical, emotional and intellectual health of those who suffer it, among the main factors that cause it are: the level cultural, social, psychological and economic of the family.
