Abstract

Early socialization with dogs is primordial to be able to achieve a proper development of conduct and adaptation to different situations. This research explores the effects of early socialization in dog breeds with impulsive tendencies, evaluating its influence on behavior and aggressiveness. Specialized behavioral surveys, such as test C-Barq are being used, given that it's a great tool that allows the evaluation of canine reactions in ideal and complex situations. The hypothesis states that dogs who have had early socialization will not show an impetuous behavior. The goal is to develop useful methods to improve cohabitation between people and dogs in urban areas. As a tool to be able to evaluate if there is in fact a statistic value and therefore meaningful connection between socialization of these breeds and their behavior, the chi-cuadrado test has been used, given that it is ideal to be able to examine the association between categorical variables.
