El discurso social actual sobre la maternidad y su repercusión en la feminidad.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the current social discourse on motherhood and its impact on femininity through a qualitative approach in order to see femininity from a new perspective. For this, different information gathering techniques were used, such as literature review, semi-structured interviews and focus group. The methodology chosen for the research work was the qualitative approach, which was complemented with the use of the descriptive method and interpretative paradigm. The work focused on characterizing femininity, motherhood, and social discourse from a psychoanalytic, sociological, and philosophical approach, to identify the repercussions of the current social discourse on motherhood on women's femininity, recognizing the history of women, and the advances with the different gender movements. However, the central point was based on the undoubted destiny in which women found themselves, to be mothers. Among the results, it was possible to locate that femininity refers to a position of being, and the current social discourse on motherhood, characterized by the emergence of a constant interaction of the subject and culture.
