El vacío y la falta : diferencias entre la neurosis y psicosis frente al encuentro con lo real.

Abstract

The theme of this paper was The Void and the Lack: Differences between Neurosis and psychosis facing the encounter with the Real. The aim of this work was to analyze the difference between void and lack in neurosis and psychosis, specifying how these elements influence the encounter with the Real in the therapeutic context, in order to provide a deeper understanding of their impact on the patient's subjective experience. The method used for the realization of this work was from a qualitative approach, with a descriptive method and an interpretative paradigm. This was done through a bibliographic review and analysis of clinical vignettes worked by two authors: Juan Pablo Mollo and Guy Briole, the former of neurosis and the latter of psychosis. The results obtained from this research included specifying the presence of elementary phenomena in psychosis in the encounter with void, but not a lack, as well as the configuration of a symptom in neurosis that accounts for the possibility of metaphorizing emptiness, giving it an edge, and thus accounting for the lack, which orients clinical work.
