Eficacia del uso de Permetrina en pacientes con escabiosis menores de 5 años en el Hospital General Liborio Panchana del 2023-2024.

Abstract

Scabies disease is known as a pathology that affects all ages but especially pediatric patients, it is an ecto parasitic disease that is affected by the Sarcoptes scabiei mite, due to its developing immune system and socio-environmental conditions allow its transmission, which is why the research work has focused on the use of topical permethrin with 5% first line at the Liborio Panchana General Hospital, aims to Identify the Effectiveness of the use of Permethrin in patients with scabies under 5 years of age at the Liborio Panchana General Hospital from 2023- 2024. The methodology of the study is observational, retrospective with cross-sectional and analytical where previous information obtained in the Liborio Panchana hospital system has been used. Among the results it was possible to show that the effectiveness of the treatment was 72% of the population under 5 years of age. It is concluded that permethrin is a safe therapeutic option as long as it is used first-line and closely monitored.
