Abstract

This paper develops the existing problems within the criminal procedural law, where judges in this area are constantly facing threats due to their position, as well as corruption attempts. This is mainly due to their position and the principle of publicity that allows personal information about processes to be known, despite the fact that there is protection within certain criminal offenses, with the purpose of safeguarding the victim, this same type of protection should be implemented for judges in criminal matters, to safeguard the process from corruption or bribes and to protect the integrity of the judge against threats. This is why this paper focuses on determining the benefits of establishing a legal veil over criminal judges, so that it is not possible to know who are the ones in charge of providing justice in each case and a process can be carried out without violations or corruption. This measure would be of great help due to the high rates of criminalism in Ecuador, which put the administrators of justice at risk. To improve the social and criminal situation of the country, it is necessary to have an effective judicial system that achieves its mission, but this will not be possible if criminals frighten officials. For the development of the present work, doctrine, local and international regulations will be analyzed and a proposal will be determined to be implemented with respect to the corresponding subject.
