Abstract: The research was developed from the analysis of the energy consumption of the installation, the evaluation of the available solar resource and the sizing of a photovoltaic system aimed at covering the identified electricity demand. The energy diagnosis made it possible to determine an average consumption of 321.60 kWh/day, while the study of the solar resource showed favorable conditions for photovoltaic use, even during the period of lower radiation availability, in which 3.84 peak solar hours per day were recorded. Based on these conditions, an 84.32 kWp photovoltaic system was defined, consisting of 136 modules. The estimated generation reaches approximately 118.18 MWh per year, a production that would cover a significant part of the energy currently supplied by the conventional electricity grid. This level of generation indicates an adequate relationship between the energy demand of the installation and the solar potential available at the site of this study. Environmentally, photovoltaic energy achieves a reduction of 26.12 tons of CO₂ per year. The economic evaluation presented an investment of 75,888.00 USD and an annual net savings of 11,059.46 USD. Under these conditions, the calculated recovery period was 6.86 years. The financial indicators obtained showed a positive Net Present Value and an Internal Rate of Return higher than the discount rate considered, results that support the viability of the proposal in the scenario analyzed.
