Incidencia del gasto público en los indicadores sociales en el Ecuador, periodo 1990-2016.

Abstract

The present research work to obtain the title of Economist aims to analyze the incidence of public expenditure in the Social Indicators of Ecuador; With an emphasis on the human development index and the Gini coefficient. To this end, a theoretical framework will be developed that will include the different economic theories and their different approaches related t o public expenditure, the main support being the theory of compensation. A descriptive-correlational research will be applied, with a quantitative approach based on the nature of the work. In addition, through the collection of information from institutions such as the Central Bank of Ecuador (ECB), the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the World Bank, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC) The databases and the subsequent application of statistical and econometric techniques. The main conclusion is that public spending affects social indicators but in the long term.
