Teatro - Biblioteca Municipal Bahía de Caráquez.

Abstract

The present document consists of the development of a proposal for the new Canton Sucre Municipal Theater / Library, located in the city of Bahía de Caraquez. The project is presented from the research and analysis of the conditions to the criteria and postures that were taken in front of the formal, functional and constructive aspects. Through these, the project seeks mainly to give back to the community a space that allows the cultural diffusion in the city. For this, a volume that stands out from its surroundings and at the same time allows the connection with the same, generating an integration space that works in a swinging way thanks to its square in the ground floor that connects the two parallel streets. In addition, the project is designed as a space that allows the development of various activities simultaneously, allowing the partial visibility of the same through transparency in their facades, to generate a relationship with art and culture from various points in the environment. Likewise the volumetry and the spatiality of the project are designed in such a way that allows the space to open in front of the user invites to be part it in its different areas in order to revive the cultural identity of Bahía de Caráquez.
