Teatro - Biblioteca Municipal Bahía de Caráquez.

Abstract

The work of titling "Theater / Library Sucre", arises from the need of a space for the city of Bahía de Caráquez, in order to promote citizenship through spaces of reflection (library), contemplation (exhibition hall and lookout), social cohesion (public square) and diffusion (classrooms). The project is located in the canton of Sucre, Manabí; the project will be consolidated as a milestone for the city in conjunction with leisure and artistic activities, which will allow thearchitectonic element to be established as a public space integrated to the street, the city, dynamizing the center and enhancing its surroundings. Through applied research, potential elements in the sector were this location suggests that the volume should be open to the center, allowing the user to direct relation with the urban environment, its visuals and cultural activities. The volumetric composition allows the establishment of spaces at different heights in order to induce the user to experience sensations and scale phenomenologies. The square will keep the public for the city in order to generate interaction between users and the center.
