La protección de datos personales en el ámbito de las telecomunicaciones.

Abstract

The present academic article attempts to show the situation of instability pertaining the lack of normative in Ecuador respecting to the protection of personal data from part of the operators or respecting to any type of handling of personal data. While it is true that we have an Organic Law of Telecommunications in which by isolated article deals with personal data, but not about any sanction or type of control respecting the treatment of the personal data, and given that the telecommunications are a service of public interest it is necessary that the regulations of the same, and honoring the principles which encompass the treatment of personal data, respecting and guaranteeing what is established in our Magnum Letter pertaining the protection of data of personal character, and implying the access and the decision about this information.
