El proceso de duelo y el síndrome del miembro fantasma en pacientes diabéticos amputados en el ámbito de una institución hospitalaria : propuesta de una intervención clínica psicológica.

Abstract

The present research project has as its theme: The process of mourning and the syndrome of the phantom limb in diabetic patients amputated in the setting of a hospital institution and proposal of a psychological clinical intervention. Its purpose is to build a proposal for psychological intervention in diabetic patients with amputation in the hospital context, following an exegesis of clinical texts that focus on improving the quality of life, responding to a common problem in the hospital area and that, however, was enigmatic for the doctor because of his presentation and the signs he manifests, the absence of the organ will be quite striking because of the express symptom of the idea and persistence of the belief of that now amputated member. For its development we have worked on the types of diabetes in which there is a greater risk of amputation, the definition of the phantom limb syndrome, its primary pathological consequences and the anomalies that can manifest themselves. The reading that will be developed will be carried out from the psychoanalytic theory and its concepts related to the construction of the body and the structuring of the image. The clinical analysis of the cases will be presented from which an intervention process will be proposed, fulfilling the general objective by constructing a proposal.
