Abstract

In the following work, the case analysis corresponding to the patient Cristopher will be elaborated. As a final diagnosis it will be considered that the subject falls into a neurosis of obsessive modality. Throughout the analysis, the points that serve to sustain this conclusion will be taken. The name that has been chosen for the present writing is "Stuck in the silence of the other", given that a quote was taken from the patient, and it is thought that from it, one of the most important issues of the case is encompassed quite well. It is a quote that was mentioned by the patient himself during his analysis and it’s directly related with his mother. Both were in a situation in which, without talking about a matter of great importance (the unexpected death of his father), nothing was elaborated that could help to restrict this random situation slightly. We could say that Cristopher is involved, in the silence of his mother, a total nothing, where no words are given to the suffering they are going through. The discomfort of the subject in question has to do directly with not being able to speak and keeps in concern many of his closest relatives and friends due to two spontaneous and violent acts, where he frightened many of the people around him. His inability to communicate and talk about what happens to him are his biggest problems.
