Diseño de un libro con iconizaciones visuales del barrio “Las Peñas” que reflejen la identidad cultural del sector.

Abstract

In the present work of titling a compendium is designed with visual iconizations that reflect the identity of the Las Peñas neighborhood through a process of abstraction where the most representative elements are highlighted.In this project a documentary research is carried out, where we proceed to visit different public entities of Guayaquil such as Municipal Library, Historical Archive of Guayas, Municipality of Guayaquil, National Institute of Cultural Heritage (INPC), Anthropological and Contemporary Art Museum (MAAC) . In the same way, a descriptive investigation is carried out where interviews are carried out with the current owners of the most important heritage houses and experts in the subject in order to identify more representative elements, essential aspects of the neighborhood, verify the veracity of the history of the Peñas and above all obtain a collection of identity. The design criteria allows generating several proposals that revolve around the research making use of graphic design. The aim of the thesis project is to enrich the knowledge of the history and the current situation of the Las Peñas neighborhood by means of a compendium that generates interest in the new generations and to generate a contribution to the preservation of the patrimony through the graphic, strengthening the knowledge of the same people from Guayaquil as foreign people.
