| Résumé: | The present investigation is structured by four chapters, in which the process of data collection and formulation of the proposals made with the purpose of promoting tourism activity in the Ballenita parish and positioning it within the tourist offer of the Santa Elena canton is exposed. Within chapter one, theories are exposed on which the research work carried out is based, such as the general theory of systems, the theory of the tourist system and the theory of sustainable development. Also, as a reference, three cases of tourist destinations already positioned and recognized internationally for excellence in their services of sun and beach tourism are reviewed, the same that is sought in the case of Ballenita. The development of chapter two focuses on the analysis of the current situation of the parish, it details the tourist offer that has the destination, exposing the strengths of its tourism system and also its weaknesses, which will allow to establish possible improvements. In chapter three, through the results of the survey, the characteristics of the potential demand, preferences and tastes of the visitor are exposed. In the end, chapter four develops five proposals based on the needs and shortcomings detected in the parish, which improve their destination status. Similarly, proposals are presented focused on the diversification of the current tourist offer on the site. |
| Description: | La presente investigación está estructurada por cuatro capítulos, en los cuales se expone el proceso de recolección de datos y formulación de las propuestas hechas con la finalidad de impulsar la actividad turística en la parroquia Ballenita y posicionarla dentro de la oferta turística del cantón Santa Elena. Dentro del capítulo uno se exponen teorías en las que se fundamenta el trabajo investigativo realizado, como la teoría general de los sistemas, la teoría del sistema turístico y la teoría del desarrollo sostenible. Asimismo, como referencia, se repasan tres casos de destinos turísticos ya posicionados y reconocidos a nivel internacional por la excelencia en sus servicios de turismo de sol y playa, los mismo que se busca conseguir en el caso de Ballenita. El desarrollo del capítulo dos se enfoca en el análisis de la situación actual de la parroquia, en él se detalla la oferta turística que posee el destino, exponiendo las fortalezas de su sistema turístico y también las debilidades del mismo, lo cual permitirá establecer posibles mejoras. En el capítulo tres, a través de los resultados de la encuesta realizada, se exponen las características de la demanda potencial, preferencias y gustos del visitante. Al final, el capítulo cuatro desarrolla cinco propuestas basadas en las necesidades y falencias detectadas en la parroquia, que mejoren su condición de destino. De igual forma, se exponen propuestas enfocadas en la diversificación de la oferta turística actual en el sitio. |
