La práctica del periodismo de largo aliento en Ecuador : análisis del portal GK y la revista Cartón Piedra.

Abstract

The main motivation of the present work was the fact that in Guayaquil longterm journalism is personified in the narrative chronicle, besides the mixture of multiple literary genres the symbolism of words and image is used, reinforcing the meaning itself of the reality that is trying to describe. The research focused on the analysis of long-term journalism, based on the study in the context of the city of Guayaquil in Cartón Piedra, journal of the newspaper El Telégrafo and GK, web portal; two media that have been identified as the main representatives of the aforementioned journalistic genre. For the development of the present work, the research was theoretically based, investigating its antecedents, evolution and identifying the indicators that can be used for its characterization. In addition, the causes of the publication periodicity of longterm journalism in Guayaquil were identified from in-depth interviews and bibliographic review. In this regard, an in-depth study was made of the publications made by the media under study, which allowed the author of this research to fully understand what is long-term journalism, and determine that among the main limitations found by the authors of this kind are the long time and high cost of carrying out works of this type, in contrast to the scarce interest of most readers today.
